It has been a very sad day for me and usually when I an upset I like to bake. Not sure why but I do! Anyway I came home today and whipped these sweet lil treats up and was very pleased with the outcome! Much better then store bought danishes!!

Ingredients

  1. For the danishes
  2. 2tubes crescent rolls
  3. 1 packages8oz cream cheese
  4. 1/4 cupgranulated sugar
  5. 1 tspvanilla extract
  6. 2 tbspmelted butter
  7. 8 tbsplight brown sugar
  8. For the glaze
  9. 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  10. 1 tspvanilla
  11. 4 tspmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F (F).

    Separate crescent rolls into 8 rectangles. Seal preforations.

    Using a pastry brush or a spoon spread the tops of each rectangle with melted butter. Then top with a tablespoon of brown sugar on each. Start rolling the dough up, start at the longer side of the rectangle and rolls up. Once rolled make sure it is all sealed up.

    Being careful grab one end of the dough and twist it around in the shape of a cinnamon roll. Lay onto a greased baking tray. Using your fingers get in there and press the middle down, making a well for the cream cheese mixture. Push n stretch til they are about 3 inches in diameter.

    In a med size bowl mix softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla til u have a smooth consistency. Put about 2 tablespoons of cream cheese mixture into the wells u made with the crescent rolls.

    Bake for 15-20 min. Remove from oven and set aside. While rolls sure still warm mix up glaze mix with a whisk and swirl all over danishes.

I’m Danish and these look delicious and just like the type of buns we bake for danish “Halloween” called “fastelavn” which takes place in February. Yum!
