Steps

Preheat oven to 350°.

Fry bacon. Remove from pan and set on paper towels to dry.

Saute onions and peppers in bacon grease.

Add tomato paste, water, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste.

Cook uncovered slowly about 5 minutes.

Add rice and cook another 5 minutes until bubbly.

Pour into 13x9 Pyrex baking dish. Add sausage and the crumble bacon into the mixture. Mix well.

Cover and bake 35 to 45 minutes.
