Puerto Rican Rice and Beans

Cook white rice to instructions.

Cook sausages to instructions and dice into squares when finish.

Boil potatoes for 50 minutes at 375°F or #6 on your stove. Dice into square when finish.

Drain pink beans and set aside the liquid. The liquid will be used for the sauce.

Add pink beans to the pan and add half the liquid from the can and cook at 235°F or #2 for 3 minutes. "You can add a little more of the liquid if you like more sauce with your meal"

Add sofrito sauce, sazon con azafran seasoning, garlic powder, and adobo seasoning. Stir and cook at 270°F or #3 for another 3 minutes.

Add sausage and potatoes and stir. Let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes and serve over white rice. "You can add flax seeds to thicken the sauce or if you just want to add some fiber."
