I was looking for a filling comfort food for a holiday meal. This nailed it on the head. The gravy is such a nice touch.

3 lbstew meat
1/2 cupall-purpose flour
salt
black pepper
4 tbspolive oil
2 mediumchopped onions
6 largecarrots
2 cupchopped celery
2 mediumchopped potatoes
1 cupmilk
2 cupBeef broth

Steps

Mix together flour, salt and pepper.

Mix in stew meat. Make sure the meat is completely covered with flour mixture.

Sear meat in olive oil on medium high heat..

Add meat to vegetables in the crockpot.

On medium heat, add floor and milk to skillet with remaining stew meat grease. Stir until creamy and somewhat thick.

Pour gravy mixture over all ingredients in crockpot.

Pour beef broth into crockpot and stir all together.

Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours.
