Cooking Instructions
- 1
Separate egg and egg yolks.
- 2
Add flour and milk to the egg yolks and whisk.
- 3
Whisk the whites separately with vanilla sugar and salt until it's light and fluffy and it fold into the flour mix.
- 4
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and pour the mix into the pan, cover and let it cook. (To check if it's done insert a kebab stick into it. If the stick comes out clean Kaiserschmarrn is done)
- 5
For apple sauce; cut the apples into wedges. Add about 1 tablespoon of butter into a separate pan. Add the apples into the pan along with 2-3 tablespoons of water, cinnamon sticks and sugar to taste. Cover the pan and let the apples cook until they are almost reduced to thick sauce like consistency.
- 6
Break the Kaiserschmarrn into pieces and serve into a plate. Drizzle some icing sugar over it and top it with berries and enjoy with warm apple sauce!

Pfannekuchen (German Pancakes) with Homemade Apple Sauce Pfannekuchen (German Pancakes) with Homemade Apple Sauce
Pfannekuchen is German for "pancake" but they're really different than the fluffy American-style ones. They're basically big, thin crepes and are sooo delicious! I used to top mine with apple sauce and plenty of powdered sugar. In case you can't buy apple sauce or want to make your own, I included how do make it here. Besides apple sauce, some people eat these with fruit, jam, or nutella too ;) Felice -

Apple Sauce Apple Sauce
I frequently use apple sauce in recipes that don't use eggs. In the United States, apple sauce is very popular and is sold in jars, or in small portions for children's snacks, but I think that making it by hand is best if possible.I don't have any helpful hints, because it is so easy. I usually use this apple sauce for making sweets or flavouring curry, but I don't think that there are any Americans who weren't brought up eating this as a child. This sauce isn't sweet at all, so this is perfect as baby food. Recipe by Torepiante cookpad.japan -
