Rustic chunky cinnamon apple sauce

My kids wanted applesauce and we didn't have any in the house. We did, however, have apples! So this is what I came up with, and now the kids won't eat any other kind of applesauce.

My kids wanted applesauce and we didn't have any in the house. We did, however, have apples! So this is what I came up with, and now the kids won't eat any other kind of applesauce.
Steps

Bring water to boil in medium saucepan
- 2
Add peeled, cored and sliced apples to boiling water, cover and reduce to simmer.

Cook until apples are soft enough to stir together.
- 4
Add sugar and cinnamon, sir and remove from heat.
- 5
Allow to cool before storing, or serve warm for magical deliciousness!
