Ingredients

  • Meatballs----------
  • 1-2/3 poundground beef
  • 1/2 cupbreadcrumbs fine
  • 1/2 cuppanko breadcrumbs
  • 2large eggs
  • 1/4 cupgrated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  • Sauce-----------
  • 1 quarttomato with apple sauce see my recipe
  • Toppings------------
  • 1-1/2 cupmozzarella cheese shredded
  • Oil----------
  • As neededoil to fry the meatballs

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat the two eggs.

  2. 2

    Heat the oil. Mix all the ingredients except the panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Form the meatballs. Roll in the panko breadcrumbs.

    Fry in the oil turning often

    Move to a paper towel to absorb excessive oils.

  6. 6

    Add to a baking pan.

    Cover with the tomato with apple sauce.

    Add the mozzarella cheese on top.

    Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
