Preheat grill to medium heat for direct cooking. Peel sweet potatoes; cut into 1 inch chunks. Thread 5-6 sweet potato chunks onto each skewer. Brush with olive oil.

For glaze, in a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Mix in syrup and nutmeg. Cook until smooth; set aside.

Place potato skewers on oiled grill rack. Grill for 20 minutes or until tender, flipping every 5 minutes. Brush with glaze during the last 3 minutes of grilling.
