Austin Family Meatloaf

I never liked meatloaf growing up. As a matter of fact I didn't like meatloaf until I tried my husband's grandmother's. I don't know what she put in it, but I remember it was awesome. After experimenting I have finally come up with my own version and it was such a huge hit with my family I decided to share it. Hope you enjoy!

Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°
- 2
Crumble raw hamburger into a large bowl.
- 3
Crumble Ritz Crackers (Saltines or toast) into the same bowl with the hamburger.
- 4
In same bowl add eggs, onion, salt, pepper, garlic salt & dressing mix.
- 5
Add approx 3/4 of your tomato paste to the mixture.
- 6
Mix everything together by hand (fun right?) until all blended together. :-)
- 7
Spread in a sprayed or greased 9 X 13 pan and bake for 35 minutes.
- 8
While meatloaf is baking take your remaining tomato paste and your ketchup and mix together.
- 9
After 35 minutes in the oven spread the ketchup mixture on top of meatloaf and bake an additional 10 minutes.
- 10
Enjoy!!! :-D
