
Round Steak Casserole
One of my Mother's delicious recipes.

Mix flour with salt and pepper and coat the steak slices. Brown in hot cooking oil. Mix the soup with 1/2 can of water and stir well to get rid of lumps. Pour of excess oil and add soup mixture to drippings in the pan; heat and stir constantly until the mix thickens. Add some gravy mix to give it color. Place the beef slices in a casserole dish and place sliced onions on top. Pour the soup mixture over. Place in 400 degree oven. Cook at 400 degrees uncovered until the soup bubbles; then cover,

Reduce heat to 250 degrees and cook 3 - 4 hours. Pork chops can be substituted for beef. A beef roast, London broil, chuck or shoulder works well can be substituted for round steak.
