Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 kgpork, cut in cubes
  2. 1/2 cupvinegar (Filipino vinegar) or apple cider vinegar
  3. 8 cupwater
  4. 1/3 cupbrown sugar
  5. 5 1/2 headcloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  6. 3laurel or bay leaf
  7. 1/4 cupblack soy sauce
  8. 1/2 tspsalt
  9. 1/2 tspground black pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil the pork in vinegar, water and garlic. Allow to boil. Lower heat and let it simmer until pork is tender and the sauce has thickened. Add more water as needed. Add the remaining ingredients, simmer 10 minutes more over low heat. Season with salt and pepper.

    Serve hot with hot white rice and my achara. Share and enjoy.

It does not look like paksiw na baboy. looks like nilaga with vinegar to me. Soy sauce is not visible. Im not sure what is the purpose of the soy sauce there
