Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1-9" Baked pastry shell
  • 3 ozunsweetened chocolate
  • 14 ozsweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • 1/4 cupwater
  • 2egg yolks
  • 1 tspvanilla extract
  • 16 ozwhipped cream

  1. 1

    In saucepan, over medium heat, melt chocolate with sweetened condensed milk & salt. Cook & stir until very thick & bubbly, 5-8 minutes. Add water & egg yolks. Cook & stir rapidly until mixture thickens & bubbles again. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.

    Pour into large bowl. Chill thoroughly. Beat until smooth. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream. Pour into prepared pastry shell.

    Chill for 3 hrs or until set. Top with additional whipped cream. Keep refrigerated.

Not sure why this has 24 ounces of whipped cream. I put my cup of it in the pie and used the rest of the 8 ounce tub to put on top. Is a good quick recipe.
