Flat Indian Bread: Chapati Flat Indian Bread: Chapati
At first I could only make tough, not very good chapatis. But by adding more water, kneading the dough well, and letting it rest, I was able to make tender and delicious ones. The amount of water indicated is a guideline only. Please adjust the amount depending on the dough. If the dough is too hard, the chapatis will be hard and dry and not very good. Even if the dough seems too soft, it will improve after resting it, so don't worry. Recipe by hinata cookpad.japan -

Potato Paratha (Indian Potato Bread) Potato Paratha (Indian Potato Bread)
This is a typical Indian home cooked recipe. It's incredible fresh off the grill. My mother would prepare them like sandwiches and pop them in the toaster to reheat. These are a favorite among both adults and chlidren and commonly used in lunch boxes.-"Paratha" is a type of flat grilled bread.-If you reheat the leftovers in a toaster, they will taste just like the fresh-baked variety.-I also recommend filling these with cauliflower sabji. For that, finely chop the cauliflower. For 2 to 3 servings, 5 pieces. Recipe by Plabar cookpad.japan -
Poori--Indian Deep-Fried Bread Poori--Indian Deep-Fried Bread
In India, this deep-fried bread is served at celebrations or when having guests. Since chapati or other traditional breads take time to make, whereas poori is done as soon as both sides are deep fried, making it perfect when serving many guests. I had a chance to make them when visiting my parents.Be careful when handling boiling hot oil.A 50/50 blend of flour and whole wheat flour gives the bread a perfect crisp texture. The amount of water is approximate, so adjust as necessary while kneading.Leftovers can be reheated in the toaster. For 2 servings [6-8 pieces]. Recipe by Plabar cookpad.japan
