After Khaman & Dhokla, I present herewith again a steamed and different Gujarati Snack-Sandwich Dhokla, which is instant Farsan for any family occasion. Hope you would love making and having it :)

Rinse and Soak rice and chana dal for 2-3 hours. After that grind them to a coarse and thick batter (like of Idli/Dhokla). Add salt to taste. (You can use Suji/Semolina, instead of Rice and Chana Dal)

Heat some water in Idli Cooker. Grease plate with some oil and spread batter over it. now spread a thin layer of Green Chutney. Again spread a layer of batter over the chutney and place the thali in cooker.

Let it steam for 20-25 minutes around. Take out the thali. Insert into it a toothpick to check whether the batter is still raw or cooked well. Take out the plate and cut into sqaure slices.

For Seasoning, heat oil in small wok/kadai. Crackle the mustard seeds and sesame seeds into it. Add sliced green chilli and hing. Spread the same over the sandwich dhokla. and garnish with chopped Coriander leaves.

Sandwich Dhokla are ready Serve hot :) (For bringing little sweetness, you can add some sugar in the chutney while making it)
