Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupSifted flour
  2. 2 tspBaking powder
  3. 1/2 tspSalt
  4. 3 tbspShortening
  5. 1/3 cupSugar
  6. 1Egg
  7. 2/3 cupMilk
  8. Topping
  9. 1/2 cupBrown sugar
  10. 2 tspCinnamon
  11. 1 cupChopped nuts (walnuts)
  12. 2 tbspFlour
  13. 2 tbspMelted butter

Steps

15 mins
  1. 1

    Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, and milk.

  2. 2

    Sift flour, salt, and baking powder and add to creamed mixture.

  3. 3

    Turn into greased square pan (8x8x2)

  4. 4

    Make topping. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and spread over batter in pan.

  5. 5

    Bake in 425*F for 25 min.
