1 tspsalt
1 tspparsley
1 cupcheese (any kind you like)
250 gramsstreaky bacon
8toothpicks
1oil (for frying)

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Break the bread in big-ish pieces into a bowl. Cover with enough milk so the bread soaks up all the milk.

Place the mince in a separate bowl and add the salt, parsley and cheese. Mix well.

Mash the bread with a fork to incorporate all the milk.

Add the bread mixture to the mince mixture and mix well.

Roll the mixture into balls and cover with bacon, secure with a toothpick.

Pour oil into an oven save dish and place the meatballs evenly in the dish. Bake in the oven for 20 - 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. (You can fry them on the stove top as well but I find that they break easily.)
