Ingredients

  1. 125 gramsmargarine or butter .
  2. 2 tbspgolden syrup or treacle .
  3. 2 tbspboiling water .
  4. 1 1/2 tspbicarbonate of soda .
  5. 1 cuprolled oats .
  6. 3/4 cupdesiccated coconut .
  7. 1 cupplain flour .
  8. 1 cupsugar .

Cooking Instructions

    preheat oven to 150'c .

    . melt butter and golden syrup over gentle heat until all melted .

  3. 3

    . mix the bicarbonate soda and boiling water and add to the syrup mix and stir to combine.

    . place remaining dry ingredient together in a bowl and combine .

  5. 5

    . pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and blend well to ensure all is combined .

    . drop teaspoon onto a greased biscuit-cookie tray and bake go in slow oven (150'C) for about 15-20 mins or until golden . cool on tray for a few minutes , remove , store in a airtight container when cooled .
