Ingredients

40minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupall purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  3. 1/2 cupClarified butter
  4. 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoongreen cardamom powder (peel and grind the seeds)

Steps

    Mix well all purpose flour and sugar.

  2. 2

    Now add baking powder and green cardamom. Mix all ingredients throughly.

    Add melted Clarified butter (melted on room temperature) and with the help of your hands mix until you get soft dough. Keep aside 2 3 tablespoons Clarified butter for greasing the plate.

    Take a utensil heavy and plain base, add 350gm salt or sand, spread it evenly all around and place a stand in the utensil.

  5. 5

    Cover the utensil and allow it to get warm on low flame.

  6. 6

    Meanwhile prepare nankhatai and place them on plate. Before placing grease plate with some clarified butter.

  7. 7

    Take some amount of dough and roll giving it a round shaped. Now flatten the ball by pressing it gently in between your palm.

  8. 8

    Press lightly trooti fruiti few pieces in centre of nankhatai. Keep the nankhatai at some distance of plate.

  9. 9

    Now place the plate inside the utensil, cover back the utensil properly.

  10. 10

    Bake nankhatai for 15minute. Check after 15minutes if it is get puffy and brown from surface that means it done

  11. 11

    Take out the plate and let them cool on room temperature.

    Nankhatai ready to eat
