Preheat oven to 325

Drain pineapple and discard juice

Place pineapples on paper towels to drain 5 minutes on each side

Melt 6 tablespoons of the butter and pour into 10 inch round pan ans sprinkle with brown sugars.

Arrange pineapple slices over the brown sugar, sprinkle with nuts and set aside

Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and set aside

Lightly beat eggs, yolks and vanilla in a small bowl and set aside

Beat remaining butter And sugar in a large bowl on medium speed until light and fluffy

Reduce speed and alternatingly mix in the flour and egg mixture

Pour batter into the pan and bake for for 1 hour and 10 minutes until golden brown

Cool for about 10 minutes and run a small sharp knife around the edge to release cake
