#Patishapta is a very famous bengali sweet. It is made up of rice flour and jaggery. #Jaggery is optional but
in winters people eat jaggery lik khejur Gur or Patali Gur. Instead of jaggery you can use sugar which is available in

Ingredients

25 minutes
4 servings
  • For The Batter
  • 1 CupRice Flour
  • 1/2 CupSooji
  • 1/2 CupMaida
  • 1 CupMilk
  • 1 CupJaggery syrup
  • For the Filling
  • 1 Table spoonGhee
  • 1 CupDesiccated Coconut
  • 1 CupMilk
  • 1 CupJaggery Syrup
  • 1/2 CupRice Flour/Sooji

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a bowl and add into it one by one all the ingredients mentioned for the batter. Like rice flour, sooji, maida, milk, jaggery seyrup. The batter should not be very thick or watery
    let it rest for 2-4 hours.

    For the filling heat a pan and add ghee. Now add the desiccated coconut. Roast in low flame for 2-3 mins.
    Now add into it rice flour,jaggery syrup and milk. Now roast all the ingredients till the moisture gets evaporated and we get the desired consistency.stir continuously or else it will get burn.Now keep it aside till it gets cool.

    Now to make the Patishapta we need to heat a pan and brush some oil into it. The flame should be very low. Now pour a ladle full of batter into the pan and by rotating the pan give it a round shape. let it be cooked for 1 min in low flame.

    Now add the filling on one side and try to fold the pitha with the help of a spoon.

    Now slowly fold the pitha. You need to be very slow in this process or else it will break. Now let it fry for few minutes. Now make all the other pithas in the same process.

    Serve this delicious #Pathishapta_pitha with some hot masala tea.
