Ingredients

  1. 1 cupFOR THOPABesan/gram flour -
  2. 3 cupWater -
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 1 teaspoonGinger chilli paste -
  5. 1 tablespoonsChopped coriander -
  6. 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric -
  7. 1 teaspoonFOR TADKAMustard seeds/ rai -
  8. 1/2 teaspoonRed chilli powder -
  9. 1 teaspoonAmchur powder/Dry mango powder -
  10. 1/2 teaspoonGaram masala -
  11. 1 tablespoonOil -

Steps

  1. 1

    Make a lump free batter by mixing together all the ingredients for the thopa.

  2. 2

    Pour the batter in a microwave safe dish

  3. 3

    Cook in the microwave for 2 minutes. Remove and beat the batter. Again, cook for 2 minutes in the microwave. Remove and beat again. For the last time, cook for 1 minute in the microwave and knead. Spread it on a plate with an approximate thickness of 1/2 inches.

    Allow it to rest for 5 minutes. After that, cut the thopa into cubes.

  5. 5

    For the tadka, heat the oil and add rai, red chilli powder and thopa and all remaining spices.

  6. 6

    Mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves.

  7. 7

    Masala thopa is ready!
