Preheat oven to 200° Fit a wire rack on a baking sheet and place in the oven

Whisk together the milk and eggs in a large shallow dish. Whisk the sugar with the cinnamon in a bowl.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add 1/2 tablespoon butter and swirl to coat the pan. Dip 2 slices of bread into the egg mixture and place in the skillet.

Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar on top and cook until the bottoms brown and crisp, about 3 minutes. Flip the toast adding butter to the pan if needed. And cook until golden, about 3 minutes more. Transfer the toast to the prepared baking sheet in the oven. Repeat with the remaining bread, batter and butter. Serve with maple syrup and strawberries,...strawberries optional ..enjoy
