Ingredients

1 cupshortening
1 cupfirmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cupsugar
2 tspvanilla
2eggs
2 1/4 cupflour
1 tspbaking soda
1 tspsalt
1 1/2 cupm & m 's

Mix shortening, brown sugar & sugar. Beat in vanilla & eggs.

In another bowl mix flour, soda & salt.

Add dry ingredients to sugar, egg mixture. Blend well.

Stir in 1/2 cup m & M's.

Drop by rounded teaspoon cookie dough, 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Top with remaining candies.

Bake 375°F for 10 minutes.
