Preheat the griller & brush lightly with oil.

Prepare the steak rub. In a bowl, combine the garlic powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne, brown sugar, chili powder, salt & pepper. Mix well to combine.

Apply the spice rub on the rib eye steak.

Place the steak on the grill & cook according to desired doneness. You can add distinat grill marks on each side of the steak. After the steak is done, let the meat rest for 5 minutes before serving it, so that the steak remains moist & the texture doesn't dry out.

Spread a generous amount of spice rub on the steak after grilling it.

Serve with side dishes.
