Of note, this is a very heavy dish filled with fat, so beware if that is something that will upset your system

Was bored one day and was curious how I could make a breakfast bagel last me for most of the day

Get out a skillet for the bacon, cast iron is preferred but not necessary, heat on medium high

Once pan is hot, lay bacon out flat on the pan and it will start to cook, a trick I have found to get bacon to a perfect cook is to wait until they just start smelling 'burnt' and then I flip them, on the other side they cook for a quick minute, this cooks them to be "mostly" crispy

Keep fire on and remove bacon from pan and set aside on a plate with a paper towel to soak up grease

Take your bagels and cut them in half and place them in the pan facing down, this process will be quick and checking them during won't hurt them, I usually cook them for about 1-2 minutes but it depends on how toasty you want them

Once bagels are done, assemble your sandwich and enjoy!
