My pressure cooker saves me alot of time in the kitchen. As a busy wife and mum, I am always looking for ways to cook quick healthy meals for my family. I hope you will enjoy cooking and eating this delicious creation.

Puree the tomatoes, green pepper and tomato paste in a blender with a little water

Put the cubed beef, diced onions, soy sauce and spices into the pressure cooker

Add 500ml cold water and close the pressure cooker. Turn on the cooker to high (flame) and place the pressure cooker with the pressure weight on the side. Once the meat has come to a boil and pressure starts being released from the nozzle, put the pressure weight. Let it boil for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, switch off the cooker and transfer the pressure cooker to the sink area and immerse it in a basin of cold water. Let it cool down until you no longer hear a sound. Remove the pressure weight and open the pressure cooker. Your meat will look something like this. It should be cooked and soft.

Taste for salt and add if necessary. Add the tomato puree and stir. Put the cover and the pressure weight back on and return the pressure cooker to the cooker. Continue to cook it for a further 15 minutes on high heat.

After 15 minutes repeat the same process as above. Switch off the cooker, place pressure cooker in basin of cold water. Open it only after you no longer hear a sound (hiss/whistle). The beef stew should look something like this. It is now ready for serving.

Serve with an accompaniment of your choice.
