Heat oven to 350°. Cut off tops of peppers and remove insides. Wash and boil in salted water 5 minutes.

Cook and stir ground beef and onion in skillet until onion is tender. Drain.

Add salt, garlic powder, rice, and 1 cup of tomato sauce. Heat through.

Stuff each pepper with mixture. Stand peppers in baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over peppers. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
