melt butter in skillet, season chicken, cook chicken in butter til crust forms.

mix onion soup mix, water,milk,mushroom soup,and poultry seasoning together. pour half this mixture in skillet with chicken bring to boil then reduce heat to simmer.

in seperate skillet or pot add remaining liquid mixture bring to a boil. add rice return to boil. reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 mins. stirring occasionally.

wouldn't hurt to add a couple table spoons of butter to rice. just added flavor.

continue letting chicken cook aprox. 15 mins per side for a total of about 30 mins size of chicken breast may constitute just a bit longer cooking.

once chicken is done spoon serving of rice onto plate, top with spoon of sauce from chicken. place chicken breast on top of rice top with as much or as little of sauce remaining in chicken skillet. enjoy. its delicious.
