Ingredients

  1. 10 ozfrozen chopped spinach
  2. 10 ozfrozen chopped spinach
  3. 13 3/4 canartichoke hearts drained and chopped
  4. 1 1/2 cupsliced mushrooms
  5. 1/2 cupchopped onion
  6. 8 ozcream cheese cut into cubes
  7. 1/2 cupmilk
  8. 2 tbspchives
  9. 1/4 tspsalt
  10. 1/4 tspblack pepper
  11. 1 tbspbutter or margarine
  12. 1 cupshredded parmesan cheese

Steps

  1. 1

    cook spinach as directed on package. drain well and mix in artichokes. set aside.

  2. 2

    for sauce: in medium saucepan cook mushrooms and onion in butter until tender

  3. 3

    stir in cream cheese, salt, and pepper. cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted.

  4. 4

    gradually stir in milk and chives. heat through.

  5. 5

    add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese to spinach and artichoke.

  6. 6

    mix sauce with spinach mixture.

  7. 7

    spoon into 2 qt baking dish. sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.

  8. 8

    bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until heated through and bubbly

  9. 9

    can be served as a side dish or used as a dip with tortilla chips, pita chips, bread, or anything that can be dipped
