Boil onion and potatoes with enough water to cover the vegetables until potatoes are soft.

Drain half of water, mash potatoes.

Add buttermilk, sour cream, and salt & pepper to taste. Add flour to thicken soup.

Add sliced sausages and simmer until sausages are cooked.
