Choose a very ripe banana and very ripe avocado. Haas (dark green) avocados work best for this recipe.

Peel the banana and cut out half of the soft flesh for the recipe. Cut the avocado into 4 quarters, remove the pit and peel, and reserve one quarter of the green flesh for the recipe.

Cut the banana and avocado pieces into very small chunks. Then mash together thoroughly with a strong fork until smooth and creamy. Prepared baby formula or expressed breastmilk may be added to achieve a thinner consistency, according to your baby's preferences.
