Heat the oil in a large frying pan

Add the onions, garlic and bacon and cook over a low heat, stirring occasionally, until the onions are softened.

Stir the mushrooms, anchovies and the olives, then season to taste with salt, if necessary, and pepper.

Simmer for 5 minutes

Meanwhile, bring a large heavy-based saucepan of lightly salted water to boil.

Add the pasta, return to the boil and cook for 8-10 minutes or until tenderbut still firm to bite.

Drain the pasta and transfer to a warmed serving dish.

Spoon the sauce on top, toss lightly and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese.

Serve immediately.
