Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

Wash the sorrel hibiscus on a running tap, ensure its properly clean. Dont bother about the colour going off. Hey! You will get as much as you desire while boiling.

  2. 2

In a pot containing water, add sorrel, boil on a low heat for 15 mins

  3. 3

Add the ginger and garlic and remove from heat. Keep the pot open add the pureed pineapple and allow to cool and to infuse the taste of the ginger, garlic and pineapple into the drink.

  4. 4

When it is cool, sieve with a clean kitchen sieve ie the close knitted type to rule out any form of debris. Add sugar to taste, and store in a container and freeze . You can serve with any Nigerian snack or snack of your choice like cookies etc. ....Bon appetite

  5. 5

Note : Zobo is packed with vit c naturally the addition of sugar helps to bring down the strong tangy taste. However, for readers on diet, kindly subtitue with dates or other fruits of your choice
