Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Add in the chopped apples and walnuts and toss until coated.

Pour into the baking dish.

Next prepare the crumble. Combine the rolled oats, 3/4 cup flour, 3/4 cup sugar, a dash of cinnamon and butter.

Evenly spread crumble over the apple mixture.

Bake for 40 - 45 minutes. Apples should be tender.

Serve with cool whip or ice cream.
