  • 1/2 cupButter
  • 2 cupSugar
  • 2Eggs
  • 2 1/4 cupFlour
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 2 1/2 tspBacking Powder
  • 1 cupMilk
  • 1 tspVanilla Extract

Steps

20 mins
  1. 1

    Sift flour + sugar together.

  2. 2

    Add shortening or butter +1/2 cup of milk.

  3. 3

    mix for 2 min then add remaining ingredients, then mix for 2 more min.

  4. 4

    2 Greased 9 inch pans at 350' for 30 min

  5. 5

    baking powder not necessary if self rising flour is used
