Ingredients

  • 2 cupgnocchi
  • 1 cupchopped bacon
  • 2minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsppaprika
  • 1 1/2 cupchopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsptomato paste
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 2 1/2 tbspcream or yogurt
  • 1/2 cupchopped fresh parsley
  • 3/4 cupshredded mozzarella
  • 1salt and pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    preheat oven to 200º

  2. 2

    bring a large pot of salted water to a boil

  3. 3

    fry bacon and chop to pieces

  4. 4

    pour off bacon fat and add garlic and paprika, fry for 30 seconds

  5. 5

    add tomatoes and sugar, simmer 5 minutes

  6. 6

    remove bacon pan from heat and stir in cream/yogurt, parsley and seasoning

  7. 7

    when the gnocchi starts floating at the top of the water, remove with a slotted spoon and add it to the sauce

  8. 8

    transfer to oven dish and top wih mozzarella

  9. 9

    bake 10 minutes until mozzarella is melted and golden

  10. 10

    let stand 5 minutes before serving
