Ingredients

4 servings
  • 16jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cupgrated monterey jack cheese
  • 2egg(s)
  • 1/4 cupmilk
  • 1/2 cupflour
  • 1 cupseasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 cupsafflower oil
  • 1curly lettuce leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    cut off the top of the peppers

  2. 2

    seed the peppers

  3. 3

    stuff each pepper with cheese (pack in as much cheese as possible)

  4. 4

    place on a baking tray

  5. 5

    in small mixing bowl, blend together milk and eggs

  6. 6

    dust peppers with flour

  7. 7

    dip into eggs

  8. 8

    dredge in bread crumbs

  9. 9

    heat the oil to 350°F (190°C)

  10. 10

    fry peppers in oil until golden brown

  11. 11

    place jalapeno bites on platter and serve

  12. 12

    ENJOY
