Ingredients

  1. 1diced, white onion
  2. 1 packagessliced button mushrooms
  3. 28 ozcan-diced tomatoes
  4. 1/2 cupcream
  5. 1/3 cupvodka
  6. 1 tbspdried basil
  7. 1 dashgarlic powder
  8. 1 dashsalt
  9. 1/4 tspcayenne (optional)
  10. 1 tbspbutter
  11. 1 tbspolive oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Melt butter with olive oil over medium-high heat

  2. 2

    Sautee onions and mushrooms in the butter and oil until onions are translucent.

  3. 3

    Stir in the can of tomatoes (juice included) and bring to light boil.

  4. 4

    Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occaisonally, until sauce thickens.

  5. 5

    Add cream and vodka.

  6. 6

    Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add shredded chicken or meatballs.

  8. 8

    Sauce is DONE!
