I've always loved the creamy, tomato sauces I've had at Italian restaraunts but wanted to save a little money and make it myself. I tried several different recipes, tweaking them slightly until I finally found the one I love!

I've always loved the creamy, tomato sauces I've had at Italian restaraunts but wanted to save a little money and make it myself. I tried several different recipes, tweaking them slightly until I finally found the one I love!
Steps

Melt butter with olive oil over medium-high heat
- 2
Sautee onions and mushrooms in the butter and oil until onions are translucent.
- 3
Stir in the can of tomatoes (juice included) and bring to light boil.
- 4
Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occaisonally, until sauce thickens.
- 5
Add cream and vodka.
- 6
Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
- 7
Add shredded chicken or meatballs.
- 8
Sauce is DONE!
