preheat oven 350deg. line cookie sheets with parchment paper, or lightly grease them.

soft flour, baking soda, and salt, set aside.

in large bowl beat butter, eggs together, add sugars and beat until mixed well, add root beer extract and mix well

Stir in flour mixture and the oats mixing well.

Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. cool.

glaze: 2 cups confectioners sugar, 3 to 4 tablespoons milk, 1/4 teaspoon root beer extract, mix well. drizzle over cooled cookies

Note: can add 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves.
