Ingredients

40 mins
  1. 1Bottle of ketchup (about 2 cups)
  2. 1/2 cupCold water
  3. 1 cupApple cider vinegar (add more to taste)
  4. 1/2 cupBrown sugar
  5. 1/4 cupYellow mustard
  6. 1 tbspOnion powder
  7. 1 tbspGarlic powder
  8. 1 tbspSpicy flavoring (Cajun, cayenne, hot sauce to taste)
  9. 1 tspSalt
  10. 1 tbspPepper
  11. 1Lemmon
  12. 1Worcestershire sauce

  1. 1

    Add everything but vinegar in a pot and bring to a simmer over low heat.

  2. 2

    Taste when sauce comes to a simmer. If sauce tastes ketchup-y add mustard and spicy flavor until there's a kick.

  3. 3

    Add vinegar (if it doesn't taste right add more). When taste is right bring heat up until the sauce bubbles. Then take heat off and let cool to 1/2 the temperature.

  4. 4

    Transfer to glass bowl, cover, and chill for 2 days.
