Ingredients

  • 1 smallpkg Pinto Beans
  • 1Salt
  • 1Black Pepper
  • 1 pinchSugar
  • 1/2 tspGround Cumin (Comino)
  • 1 tbspMinced Garlic
  • 1/2 tbspMinced Garlic Juice
  • 2 sliceBacon or 2 pieces of Salt Pork

Steps

1 hour 30 mins
  1. 1

    Sort out any bad beans then wash good under cool water.

  2. 2

    Pour beans in a large pot. Add all ingredients. Cook over medium heat for @ 1 1/2 hours or until beans are soft. Watch water level & add warm water as needed.

  3. 3

    NOTE: In high altitudes you may need to soak the beans over night to soften them for a quicker cooking time.
