Cooking Instructions
- 1
Whisk together the dry ingredients in a small saucepan.
- 2
Whisk in the water and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
- 3
Place saucepan on the stove at high heat and bring to a rolling boil. Stir often.
- 4
Let it continue to boil until the mixture is a syrupy consistency.
- 5
Remove from heat and let cool about 10 minutes before serving.
- 6
Come to think of it, I'm not sure my kids wait that long. hehe
- 7
Can be bottled and stored in the fridge. Can't say exactly how long it keeps because our syrup is usually finished within 2-3 days. A week or so is a safe estimate.

Have fun with it 😉These cookies make for a good random in-between work treat to snap you out of sleep and get you somewhat focused again. #PrepAndPackMy Golden Rule:- ginger and cinnamon cookies must crack 🙌🏻. Weekend Breakfasts are a treat for my daughter. She dreams up interesting combinations, which sometimes turn out really great😀In the absence of a waffle iron, the same mixture can be used to make drop scones..just heat a pan and oil it, drop a table spoon of the batter, several of them into the pan...once it bubbles and firms up, turn over. Both can be a breakfast treat or a dessert, experiment with various toppings☺ Ruth -
Cinnamon French Toast Cinnamon French Toast
My father used to make French toast all the time. As I grew up I wanted to make it. So through trial and error I came up with this recipe. My father's used to be a little soggy, but mine is not. This is sure to be a quick, and easy meal. Cinnamon is optional, so is syrup. will.weremecki
