Roughly chop onion and fry off in olive oil until clear but no colour

Roughly dice courgette and crush garlic. add to the onion and fry for a few minutes. add the tomatoes

Stir in sugar and Worcester sauce

Crumble stock cube into the empty tin of tomatoes and half fill with water, mix until dissolved and add to the pan. bring to the boil, reduce to a simmer and leave for 10 minutes

Roughly shred the basil and add. blend until smooth. season and serve

I served with crusty bread and another drizzle of Worcester sauce
