You can make these with other vegetables like beets or zucchini.

Rinse the quinoa in a fine mesh strainer under plenty of water. Cook it like rice: boil 1 cup of quinoa with 2 cups of water until all the water is absorbed. Let it cool.

Add the egg, salt to taste, white pepper or other seasonings, raw grated carrot, and oats (to help bind the mixture; you may not need them). Mix well.

Shape the mixture into burgers with your hands. You should get about 10 burgers.

Place the burgers on a baking sheet lightly greased with oil and bake until golden brown.
