Ingredients

  1. 1 cupButter or margarine
  2. 1/3 cupSugar
  3. 2 tspWater
  4. 2 tspVanilla
  5. 2 cupAll-purpose flour
  6. 1 cupChopped pecans

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and pecans.

  2. 2

    Chill 3-4 hours. Shape in balls or fingers.

  3. 3

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven (325 degrees) about 20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cool slightly; roll in confectioner's sugar. Makes about 5 dozen.
