The modak is one of the most important naivedyam for Ganesh chaturthi. I make every year on Ganesh chaturthi day.
Steps

Take flour in bowl. Add ghee and mix well. Add pinch of salt and then add water make dough. Keep it aside for 15 mins.

Take sesame seeds in mixer jar and grind it into powder. Take grated jaggery and add it into the mixer and grind it along with the sesame powder. Remove it into bowl and keep it aside. Stuffing is ready

Make small balls of dough. Make small size puri. Add the stuffing in between and make the shape of modak. You can use the modak making mould also. Repeat the process with remaining dough.

Heat the oil in kadai. Add the modaks and fry till golden in colour.

Serve the naivedyam to Ganesh.
