Ingredients

  1. 4 boxesuncle ben's long grain and wild rice
  2. 2chicken bouillon cubes
  3. 1 lbapple smoked bacon
  4. 3large portabella mushrooms
  5. 1 cansliced water chestnuuts
  6. 1 bunchscallions, chopped only the green
  7. 1 cansliced black olives

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the rice per instructions. Add bouillon cubes to water

  2. 2

    Chop bacon and fry until done, not crispy

  3. 3

    Remove stems from mushrooms and slice. Remove ribs with a spoon. Slice thin and chop to 1 inch slices. Saute in bacon grease until tender

  4. 4

    Add finished rice to a bowl. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well and chill for one hour

cooking is a passion of mine. I started when I was very young and I had to drag a milk crate around to see over the counter. taught by a career cook (my grandmother ). I have always tried to push the boundaries of conventional cooking. I prefer cooking wild game. when I can get my hands on it, but fish is more readily available for me. I raise and butcher most of the livestock that I use for my conventional recipes. I hope everyone can find a few recipes they like in my list.
