Ingredients

  1. 1/2 tbspMinced shallot
  2. 2 tbspRed wine vingar
  3. 1 tbspLemon juice
  4. 1/4 cupOlive oil
  5. 1/4 cupMinced basil
  6. 1 tbspMinced parsley
  7. 1as needed Salt and pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl large enough for ingredients, season shallot with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Add vinegar and lemon juice. Stir in oil and herbs.

  3. 3

    Adjust seasoning and acidity, adding salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste.

  4. 4

    Marinade is best used within 48 hours; the basil turns black over time and the shallots and parley start to smell grassy and strong.
