Soak wood chips in water for 30 minutes; drain well

Preheat Grill to medium high using both burners. After Preheating turn the left burner off. (If using a charcoal grill heap lit coals to the right side place chicken on opposite side if grill.) Pierce the bottom of an aluminum foil pan with the tip of a knife. Place pan on heated side of grill add wood chips

Combine oil, chili powder, brown sugar, cumin, salt, pepper in a bowl. Rub mixture onto chicken and let sit 20 minutes

Pour beer over chicken. Cover and grill 1 1/2 hours or until thermometer inserted reads 165
