Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 19" pie crust
  2. 2 cuppure maple syrup
  3. 2eggs, lightly beaten
  4. 1/4 cupfirmly packed light or dark brown sugar
  5. 1/4 tspsalt
  6. 2 tbspunsalted butter melted
  7. 1 tspvanilla extract
  8. 1 1/2 cuppecans, coarsely chopped

    prebake crust for 20 min, or until not wet at 375°F

  2. 2

    Lower T to 350.

  3. 3

    In pan, bring maple syrup to a boil for 8-10 min until reduced to about 1 1/2 cups. Let cool.

  4. 4

    In bowl, combine eggs, brown sugar, maple syrup, salt, melted butter, vanilla until well combined.

  5. 5

    Add pecans and stir well.

  6. 6

    Pour filling into pie shell, spread pecans evenly.

  7. 7

    Bake pie until center is slightly puffed and firm to touch ( about 30-35 min).

  8. 8

    Let cool and serve slightly warm.
